Puff pastries with apple and cinnamon

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry 
  • 2 apples 
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • 1 teaspoon sugar 
  • 1 egg for brushing 
  • 50g apple jam 
  • Fresh mint

PREPARING

  1. Cut the puff pastry into thin strips along the shorter side.
  2. Peel the apples, slice them into approximately 0.5 cm slices, and use a small glass to cut out the core.
  3. Thread the pastry strips through the center of the apple slices and wrap them around.
  4. Place the prepared apple pastries on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and add a teaspoon of apple jam to each.
  5. Bake at 220°C for 12-15 minutes.
  6. Transfer to a lunchbox and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
