Cinnamon Roll Stuffed Baked Apples

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package (8-count) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing (set the icing aside for later)
  • 8 baking apples (e.g., European Gala)
  • Melted butter, for brushing
  • Brown sugar, for sprinkling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, for sprinkling

PREPARING

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Slice the top off each apple and use a spoon to hollow out the center, leaving a slightly thicker bottom. Be careful not to puncture the skin.
  3. Brush the inside of each apple with a little melted butter, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon and spread it around the inner walls.
  4. Press one cinnamon roll into each hollowed-out apple. Arrange the apples in a baking dish so that they are standing upright.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, then loosely cover with aluminum foil and bake for another 25-30 minutes, until the cinnamon rolls are cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle each apple with the reserved icing from the package. Enjoy! 😋
