Beef skewers with rice and vegetables

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 g sushi rice
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 150 g beef, cut into long strips
  • 50 g baby carrots
  • 50 g cherry tomatoes
  • 50 g cucumber
  • A few leaves of romaine lettuce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Skewer sticks
  • Salt to taste

PREPARING

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to the instructions on the package. After cooking, add 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar and soy sauce and mix well. Set aside to cool.
  2. Using molds, shape the cooled rice into flowers and hearts.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add the beef strips and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, until well-seared. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Thread the cooked beef strips onto skewer sticks, creating waves.
  6. Cook the baby carrots for 4-5 minutes.
  7. Slice the cucumber into thin strips and cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
  8. Arrange the rice shapes in a lunchbox. In separate compartments, place the beef skewers and vegetables.
