European Trio Tacos Box

INGREDIENTS

Taco Base:

  • 250 g European minced meat (beef and pork blend, preferably lean)
  • 4 ready-made hard taco shells
  • salt and pepper
  • favourite vegetables: tomato, red onion, lettuce
  • optional: shredded cheddar or yellow cheese

Teriyaki Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp cornstarch
  • 2 cm ginger paste (or grated ginger)

Burger Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 20 g finely chopped onion
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cm garlic paste

Honey-Mustard Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 cm garlic paste

PREPARING

  1. Teriyaki Sauce: Mix all sauce ingredients in a heat-proof dish. Heat in the oven (or microwave) for 1 minute. Stir well. If the sauce is too thin, continue heating in short bursts until it thickens.
  2. Other Sauces: In two separate small bowls, mix the ingredients for the burger sauce and the honey-mustard sauce. Set aside.
  3. Meat and Vegetables: In a preheated pan, fry the minced meat until browned and crumbly, seasoning with salt and pepper. Wash and chop the vegetables.
  4. Assembly: Fill the hard taco shells with a portion of the fried meat. Sprinkle with cheese (the heat from the meat will melt it) and add the vegetables. Drizzle with your chosen sauce just before serving.
