INGREDIENTS
Meat Base:
- 450 g European minced beef (browned and drained of fat)
- 4 cups (approx. 920 g) marinara sauce or thick tomato sauce with herbs
Cheese Mixture:
- 1 kg ricotta cheese
- 220 g grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 2 tbsp fresh basil (chopped)
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Pasta & Toppings:
- 15 lasagna sheets (cooked al dente)
- 300 g shredded mozzarella (for layering and topping)
- cooking spray or a bit of butter for greasing the baking dish
